![]() ![]() The blue text and headlines run throughout the paper and establish a “brand” to their publication. The Hartford Courant is constantly impressing newsy-types with their clean lines, wide-set text and generally comfortable appearance. From a small newspaper in a relatively small town, one would not expect the design to be so clean and clear, but the Courier has done a great job at designing their message in their news. The Daily Courier from Prescott, Arizona is modular, refreshing and well color-coded. Pictures and borders do not have consistent gutter sizes, and the paper looks “overweight” as a result. This first newspaper From Oakland California has spacing mistakes that are almost elementary in nature gutters are not equal in parts.
